About Crux Legal

Crux Legal has been established in 2017 by Karen Beijerman, Patrick de Looff and Nanouck Schmeitz. After we each had gained more than 10 years of working experience in employment law with different types of law firms, setting up our own business was our next goal. Working together in a specialized and small-scale employment law firm enables us to be agile and to maintain direct and clear communication lines with our clients. We know exactly who are clients are and what they need and our clients know us and know exactly when and how to involve us.

The name of our firm and our logo represent our common strength: we quickly identity the crux – the core – of the problem our client faces and from this crux come up with a pragmatic and often creative solution which helps our client to move forward. No matter how complex the situation, we manage to map all interests at stake and help our clients to choose the most effective strategy and reach the optimum result.

Our client portfolio is diverse and includes businesses (from small-scale to multinationals), nonprofit organizations, works councils, board members and employees. Clients do not only call upon us when confronted with a problem, but often keep close contact with us on a regular basis and engage us as their preferred sparring partner in the field of human resources. This enables us to signal any issues in an early stage and contribute proactively to our clients’ development.

If a matter requires falls outside the scope of our specialization, we rely on an extensive network of other legal specialists in the Netherlands and abroad, who work just like us and who are able to jump in at short notice. We gladly help our clients in choosing and engaging the counsel they need.
